Thank you for joining our community! By creating an account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. This is a brief introduction to Bulbapedia's rules and resources to help you get started:

  • All users are expected to follow the code of conduct and to be kind to one another.
  • If you have a question, check out our FAQ; the manual of style provides detailed editing guidance, and the wikicode page provides details about how to use wikicode.
    • You can always ask for help by contacting a staff member.
  • Please preview your edits before saving them; this helps you double-check your changes and reduces the need for repeated minor edits.
  • Use talk pages to discuss changes and resolve editing disputes.
  • Creating a userpage is allowed after you've added to the encyclopedia; for more details, see the userspace policy.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~) so people know who is commenting. This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links and information, check out the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Staff categories

Anime staff members shouldn't get categories dedicated to them unless they've been credited with two or more episodes. Otherwise, they count as simply one-off creators. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:52, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Landfish7 20:48, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

Again, please make sure we are using the preview button. Too many edits within a short period of time can stress the server, especially with the recent issues we've been having. Thank you. Landfish7 17:08, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
I'll look out for it. *Just having to say for myself that it's just me literally doing those edits one by one thinking that it's already complete after the first edit until encountering another issue. --DomiDsLP (talk) 21:10, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
No worries! It happens to the best of us. As long as it doesn't happen too often you'll be fine. Landfish7 22:13, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Chinese names

By default, romanized Chinese (and Korean) names would follow the original order and have surnames listed in front. They don't need to follow the conventions we have for Japanese names. --超龍Chao 01:06, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

Spaces in name romanizations

We don't generally include spaces for Japanese personal names in credit lists. It's just an artifact of how names are aligned when formatted in a column like in episode credits, and isn't necessary when written in regular text, especially when the correct division between the family name and given name is clear from context. --Abcboy (talk) 23:25, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

Well, thanks for the heads up. --DomiDsLP (talk) 06:12, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
