Talk page comments

Removing talk page comments, especially those left by others, is prohibited per Bulbapedia's talk page policy. Please do not remove any comments in the future. If someone has said something you don't like, tough luck, deal with it - though if it seems like a personal attack, bring it up to an admin. Under normal circumstances, however, you do not have the right to remove others' words. 梅子 16:33, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Second warning. Please do not remove talk page comments or you may be blocked... again. ▫▪Ťïňắ 21:52, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
strike three, yur out. seriously, stop it. if you do it again when you come back, the block will be much longer i assure you. -- MAGNEDETH 02:18, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
You were told to quit it, you were told that you would get a much longer block if you came back with the same attitude. We keep our promises, so you're now blocked for 14 days. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 21:16, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Preview button

its right next to the Save page button. know it, use it, love it.

also, saying Infernape is Ash's first fully evolved Fire-type to instantly obey him is pointless because its only his second one. might as well say "half of Ash's fully evolved Fire-types" because its 50/50. -- MAGNEDETH 21:48, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Relax

dont instigate a pointless argument (Zoroark is verifiably based on a Kitsune whether you like it or not). furthermore, when corned in an argument, insulting people is not the proper thing to do (particularly when you spell it wrong). lastly, if you want to continue your argument, go to the forums, BP is for work and talk pages are for topics related to the pages and their content. while your conversation started off honestly enough, it fell into forum-like arguing. -- MAGNEDETH 02:40, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Seriously, if you want to argue about what Zoroark is based on, you need to do so on the forums. Bulbapedia is not the place to argue about your speculation. If you continue such arguments, you will be temporarily blocked from editing. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 23:40, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Palkia

No, there's no proof that Palkia is based on Space Godzilla. You can't go removing other ideas of what a Pokemon is based on. Virtual-Z 19:13, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Preview button

As you've been told in the past - please use this button. Thank you. --electAbuzzzz 19:02, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Simmer down

Please, take two hours to calm yourself down. Yelling at other editors to "SHUT UP" is not acceptable. If you're getting angry at another user, instead of yelling at them, please just walk away. Thanks, - Kogoro | Talk to me - 23:40, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Preview button

This is your final warning on this subject. Use the preview button when editing. Ignoring this any further will not be accepted. --electAbuzzzz 21:30, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Wow. You don't listen to what we tell you. You don't even respond. You edit war. You continue to not use the preview button. You should thank me I'm only blocking you for a day, because you're being extremely out of line here. Don't do this again. --electAbuzzzz 21:43, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
Unbelievable. I block you for a day for edit warring, and then the second you return you make that same edit AGAIN?? This isn't about whether what you wrote is correct or not. It may be correct, all you need to do is provide a source to support it. But for the way you're behaving, take two weeks off. Please have a more positive approach when you return. --electAbuzzzz 07:22, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Sorry to butt in here, but if you're talking about this, then what you're looking for would be here where they state the the location hunting for movie 13 took place in Belgium and the Netherlands. I don't know specifics past that though. I hope that helps :) (Yaminokame 07:38, 11 May 2010 (UTC))
Thank you, Yaminokame, for that. That's all I needed. The block still stands though, as that's not the reason I blocked C149. --electAbuzzzz 07:56, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Edit warring

Edit warring is not tolerated here. If someone is reverting your edits, don't keep trying to add it back - bring it up with that person directly instead, or just let it drop. Thanks. 梅子 20:03, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Since you've decided to ignore this message, and the block you received before for edit warring, you have been blocked for the duration of 1 month. I suggest that you take that time to look at what you have done, understand why it was wrong, and refrain from repeating this behavior when your block expires. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 20:24, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
Look, you've just come back from a month long ban for edit warring and now you're doing it again. Please don't revert back someone repeatedly. What you were adding is considered speculation. Isshu can be based on MANY things. The best place to discuss that would be the forums. Jellotalk 16:26, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk Pages

They are for the discussion of the content of the page, not for forum like discussions of suggesting where a region is at. Please stop re-adding that forum content like material. Thank you. --Psyライダー 16:24, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Alright, but could you please tell me on where to go on descussing this information, and if it's Bulbagarden, how could I sigh in, because it won't let me for some reason? --User:Cynthia149 17:36, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
On the left side of the page there should be a sidebar with a title of Navigation. There should be a link titled "Bulbawiki forum", it's the fifth one down. And there should be a notice that has a link to join. If you click that, it should direct you on joining the forums. :D. Hope this helps~ --Psyライダー 16:32, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
Thank you very much, your a life saver --User:Cynthia149 19:13, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk pages, nine years on

Hello, as stated to you before, talk pages are for suggesting improvements to wiki, not to cast speculation on the new region. If you want to have a conversation about the new region, you can go to the forums. Also, do not alter your comments after you've made them, leave them as is. If yo want to add anything extra, make a new comment below your previous comment. Thank you.--ForceFire 01:40, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

The Preview Button, again

Hey! It seems you've been informed of this many times before, but I'll have to say it again: please use the preview button to preview your edits before publishing them. You can find it at the lower left of your screen. There's no need to make multiple consecutive edits on a single article. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:10, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

The "e" in Pokémon

Hey! Whenever you type in the word "Pokémon", there ALWAYS needs to be an accent over the "e" part of the word. That's how it's always been written. I don't know what kind of keyboard you use, but if you don't know how to put in an accent, just press the ALT button and type in the numbers 1, 3, and 0 in that order. Thank you! GrammarFreak01 (talk) 11:22, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

"Its" vs. "It's"

Allow me to direct you to an article on the matter, because I've noticed this problem with your recent edits to the Pokémon world in relation to the real world article. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:38, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

Talk page comments II

Please do not alter your talk page comments, leave them the way they are. If you want to add something new, just add the comment below the one that exists. Thank you.--ForceFire 13:04, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

"Its" vs. "It's", again

Please read this article on the differences between "its" and "it's". I see it's a style with you and it's extremely aggravating for me to fix these simple, avoidable errors. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:21, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

I would appreciate it if you indicated you are listening to my feedback... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:16, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Sorry for getting it all muddled up. I'm not too good with my grammers. I'm having similar trouble with my fanzine. But I will try to fix this. Cynthia149 (talk) 01:18, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Okay, thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:21, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Linking Pokémon articles

Hey! Whenever you link a Pokémon article, any Pokémon article, always be sure to use the {{p}} template, otherwise you'll be leaving behind a redirect. For example, {{p|Shellos}} is the correct usage, not [[Shellos]]. The same goes for {{p|Gastrodon}}. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:31, 18 December 2019 (UTC)

Windermere

This article had stated the first town is inspired by Windermere. The art clearly featured the player's house. That's why I had moved it to Postwick and left a blank entry for Wedgehurst. I removed the references to the other entries since there was no mention of them. Unless I missed something, what reason did you have to undo my edit? --超龍Chao 02:13, 18 January 2020 (UTC)

I've fixed it up for you, also mentioned that Wedgehurst being Bowness-on-Windermere and Route 2 Lake Windermere. Sorry for any misunderstandings. I do try to fit inthe frames of where is where since the whole og Galar is Great Britain upside-down.Cynthia149 (talk) 02:45, 18 January 2020 (UTC)

Pokémon world in relation to the real world edits

First off, if you're going to make edits to the Pokémon world in relation to the real world article like you did here, it's much, much, MUCH more preferable if you do it all in one edit that encompasses the entire article, or at least a couple. Section-by-section editing is NOT the way to go, especially when a lot of your edits are simply proofreading. Trust me, that was my mistake to make back then and I was reprimanded for it.

Second of all, if you're going to proofread your own edits, please use the preview button located at the bottom left of your editing screen. It will allow you to preview your edits before you actually publish them. That way, you can cut down on the amount of edits you publish on a single page.

Third of all, the main themes of the Pokémon regions you wrote down on the article are NOT relevant to the article's subject matter at hand. The article is about drawing comparisons between the Pokémon world and the real world. Unless there's something about the real-world Japanese regions/foreign countries that's absolutely relevant to the main themes you tried to list, said main themes are more relevant to the individual articles on the regions themselves. However, you're going to need sources verifying these main themes, so I wouldn't add the themes just yet on the region articles.

Fourth of all, I'm going to have to remind you about the importance of differentiating between "its" and "it's", because I see you made that mistake again in one of your edits.

Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:45, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

New series and Pokémon Go

I can see why, but if there's no official source confirming this is the case, then this is just fan speculation. We have to abide by the usual format for now, in that this series is inspired by Generation VIII. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:39, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

List of Pokémon by Galar Pokédex number edits

Hello, Cynthia149. You made a number of edits to the Galar Pokédex list without any sort of edit summary. I would like to ask if you could provide a source for your information to the talk page? Also, if it is from Pokémon HOME, could you provide your reasons why the information should be included? --Super goku (talk) 10:24, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Again, the preview button

Use it. Seven edits can be done with one with just as much ease. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 11:20, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Force Preview

Hello. Since you have received many messages about not previewing your edits, and have been getting them since years ago, you have been placed into "force preview". This means that you must preview your edits and make sure they are how you want it to be. You will be put out of force preview when the editorial board feels that you have learned to preview your edits more often.--ForceFire 12:31, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Are you using your force preview?

Only one edit was necessary for the three edits that you just put in. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:11, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, whenever I write something and saw a grammer mistake, I would try and go back to correct it, unless you would do that for me? Cynthia149 (talk) 12:33, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Perhaps, but you can't expect everyone else to always take care of it for you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:26, 12 March 2020 (UTC)

Code of Conduct

There was absolutely no need for this rude comment. There was no need to call other users names and go on an unrelated rant about something else. Please abide by the Code of Conduct, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:52, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

I'm only stating a fact. A fact that you yourself and others should consider when it comes to fandoms. If you don't then that's fine, but at least consider others instead of biting and devour one and another. I'm only hungry for answers of which I never got, and will never get since this franchise will never answer simple questions. Especially those that I am frustrated of getting off my chest at this moment in time.Cynthia149 (talk) 14:54, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
But that contributes absolutely nothing to the topic at hand. Moreover, it doesn't really help your argument any. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 17:06, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
I will not abide to the Code of Conduct due to your biased false-accusing hypocrisies that this fandom and this notorious paedophilic site is known for in its past. Cynthia149 (talk) 12:02, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

If you do not want to abide by the Code of Conduct, then you do not need to have an account. Abiding by the Code of Conduct is a requirement on Bulbapedia, users are expected to be civil with one another. If you feel that you don't have to follow it, then we will revoke your ability to do so.--ForceFire 12:34, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Look, all I'm trying to say is that I don't like how forums makes interpenetrating people's moods and opinions hard to manage. It's not black and white where you can immediately understand the words a persons says and immediately think he's a bad person. Sometimes, or most of the time, there is a lot more of a person in real life than what I'm writing to you. Even if I do express my true feelings, you would still brand me as being negative, hostile and horrible. Cynthia149 (talk) 12:43, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
You misunderstand. Our intention is not to say that anyone is a bad person. We're saying that we will not condone bad behavior. If someone continually shows that they are unable to reasonably restrain themselves, then we are not obligated to put up with their behavior, regardless of how you would describe their character otherwise.
Your takeaway here needs to be that character attacks are the exact opposite of helpful. They do not advance your argument any. If you want to persuade someone/the larger audience, stick to the matter at hand.
If you want to continue contributing on Bulbapedia, this shouldn't be too hard to absorb. It's in your hands now. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:53, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
All I'm wanting to ask is.... why? Why is Galar, the whole region being mostly shoved in the sidelines and having to share with the past seven regions in the new anime when all the other past animes have shown off all the other regions. Is it that the UK is very much despised at the moment for leaving the EU? I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
Why is SwSH considered like the black sheep to the franchise despite how big they claim of wanting to make it. Could it be that they never wanted it on the Switch to begin with? Masuda clearly stated in an interview that the Switch is a Non-Traditional console and that if it first came out as a handheld then they wouldn't have had this problem.
Idunno, I'm just nick picking, I'm just ashamed that they are not showcasing the entirety of the Galar Region for the new anime and instead going along the lines of Ash - Nostalgia-baiting and representing the console games, and Goh - casual Pokemon Go players. It is a huge commercial at the end of the day, and there's hardly any Gen 8 Pokemon being showcased thus far. Only the past Pokemon (mostly Gen 1/ Kanto which I wish would sink at the bottom of the sea at this point). How Ironic though that Professor Oak stated in one of the specials that he hated Pokemon being sold for money, but yet... look at what we're doing? Well I never.Cynthia149 (talk) 09:45, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

Diamond Storm

You had already asked the previous year about it and you were told no, yet you still added it anyway. It doesn't matter if it shares the same name with a move from another franchise. That's just a coincidence. Many other Pokemon moves probably share the same name with another item from a different franchise. It's just not notable. Thank you.--ForceFire 13:22, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Stop being so elitist. I know coincidence when I see it, and that is no coincidence when Diamond Storm is a decade old. A Coincidence is when a franchise comes out at the same time, with the UK and US versions of Dennis the Menace being good examples, also the inspirations that lead up to the creation of Avenger Penguins and Biker Mice from Mars, and thus being released in the same week. This wouldn't be called a coincidence if Renamon's Diamond Storm came about a full decade before Diancie's signature move.Cynthia149 (talk) 11:24, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
I suggest you drop that snobby attitude, as I stated above, abide by the Code of Conduct. Yes, it is a coincidence that two things from different franchises share the exact same name, the length of time between the two has no bearing on what makes it a coincidence. It also doesn't matter if it shares the same name, because many other things in Pokemon shares a same name with something else.--ForceFire 11:51, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Like what then? Give me some examples. Cynthia149 (talk) 11:58, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Things like "potion", "revive", "tackle", "sing". Simple things that gets used over and over. That's why it's not notable. It's bound to happen anyway.--ForceFire 12:21, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
However, Diamond Storm is not a word that's normally used, it's already used in Digimon and that's it. Yes there is Digmon's Gold Rush, but that's only now when Gold Rush is used as a G-Max move. But that's beside the point. When is the last time you've ever heard someone use Diamon Storm outside of Pokemon and Digimon?Cynthia149 (talk) 12:30, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
I'll start with: as a rule, we don't reference other IPs unless there is an official source linking them.
Second... Both Digimon and Pokemon are originally Japanese games. You say both moves being called Diamond Storm is intentional... But in Digimon, Renamon's move is something like Fox Leaf Wedge (狐葉楔), while Diancie's move is literally Diamond Storm (ダイヤストーム). So, very fundamentally, Diamond Storm had nothing to do with Renamon when it was made. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:53, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Templates

Please, be sure to know which link templates to actually use. Your edits required a lot of fixing. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 10:12, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

Nurse Joy Indeedee

I spoke to Force Fire earlier, on his advice I have created a page for Nurse Joy's Indeedee on my userpage as he doesn't feel it warrants its own page as yet--BigDocFan (talk) 11:51, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
