Should I?

"The virus takes about two days to wear off of an infected Pokémon, but the period of time can vary."

Should the of be still removed in this case? It sounds a little wrong without it... CuboneKing 05:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

How about: "The infected Pokémon can infect other Pokémon with the virus for a period of two days, however the Pokérus timer can be delayed by several methods including placing the infected Pokémon in a PC box."--Beligaronia (talk) 06:38, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

I see what you mean, CuboneKing. It does sound a bit clumsy either way. I'm in favour of the complete overhaul suggested by Beligaronia. I'll go ahead with it. --Burjojo 13:26, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

M05 Synopsis

What did you do to that synopsis on M05? --Hmdwgf 02:12, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Burjojo changed several instances of the phrase "off of" to "off".
@Burjojo On that note it might be an idea to write something on at least one of the edit summaries for a page, even if its just one word such as "grammar". Its hard to spot one changed word in a solid wall of text. (Note this suggestion is entirely optional and and carries a large amount of hypocrisy given that I often fail at writing edit summaries.) Thank you for your time.--Beligaronia (talk) 10:46, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Oh. Never mind then. --Hmdwgf 11:42, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

@Beligaronia - I wasn't aware of the edit summaries page, I'm quite new here. But thanks for the heads up! --Burjojo 15:08, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Just to clarify, when I say edit summary I mean the little comment that appears next to an edit on Recent Changes or on a page's history. Underneath the edit window, above the Save Page button there is a small Text Window, with "Summary" written next to it, use this to write a summary of your edit.--Beligaronia (talk) 23:21, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I see it now. Thanks! --Burjojo 13:01, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Keep in mind

The stuff we just corrected is the kind of thing that's going to pour into articles despite our work, so just make sure you check "off of"s regularly. I'm saying this as I just checked, and there already was one XD CuboneKing 20:32, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

No problem buddy, I'll keep an eye out --Burjojo 15:09, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

FYI

You don't need to correct non-visible sections. Those can get so unencyclopedic and mistake-filled, but as long as we can read them, we don't do much about it. Stuff you DO correct in there is... Well... You'll know it when you see it :P CuboneKing 18:55, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

You know, I was thinking that. Normally I would have left it, but I could see it when I searched and it was making me cringe a little... --Burjojo 08:12, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

You're not alone on that one... CuboneKing 21:24, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
