By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

hello guys

Welcoming

Instead of copying and pasting the code, you can just do {{subst:welcome}} which automatically makes the template, puts in the other user's name, and signs it for you, which is much easier. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 23:25, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

oh. now i know. Awesomelink234 (talk) 00:37, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

Punk Rock damage

Hey there, in this edit, you said that you've verified via calculations that Punk Rock is a damage modifier. However, the Punk Rock article currently states that the Ability boosts the power of the user's sound-based move (which is also what the Ability desciption says). So yeah, would you be able to possibly correct whatever is misleading, and preferably also share your calculations (such as on a talk page)? That'd be cool, thanks. Nescientist (talk) 19:33, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

Sorry for the late response, but I used Pokémon Showdown's damage calculator to figure that out, both by calculations and looking through the source code. Not sure if it's 100% accurate, though. Awesomelink234 (talk) 15:46, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
Okay, thank you. I'm gonna undo your edit then. Showdown's damage calculator is not the games, so obviously it cannot be used as a (100% accurate) source.
Even Showdown's actual engine disagrees (and from past experience, that's more reliable than the calculator), and, more importantly, the description of the Ability talks "power" (and IIRC that has been reliably accurate so far). I'm pretty it's power, then. Nescientist (talk) 19:31, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Editing Template

Hey, I saw your comment. I was wondering if you knew anything about how to edit the template to include Gen 8? Thanks, PinkYoshiGaming (talk) 21:36, June 1 2021 (PTC)

Sorry for the kinda late reponse; as I'm sure you know by now, the wiki's been just off and on in terms of working. Anyway, templates aren't really my thing, but I suppose I could take a look at it. Awesomelink234 (talk) 17:20, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

About Minimize

While I'm quite impressed with what you've been doing recently.. are you sure your most recent edit to Minimize is correct? The way I read it, this sets the multiplier, and this applies it, directly after "Critical". It should actually be the same for other moves that set that multiplier (Facade, Earthquake, etc.), though I'm not sure if we got all of them right for Gen III... Nescientist (talk) 11:54, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

Ah, I was unaware. Frankly, I didn't feel like looking through the entire disassembly to see exactly where stuff gets applied, but I actually DID find the base power RAM address in Emerald (specifically, it is at 0x020244E0, at least in NTSC-U) that DOES correctly get modified by the actual base power modifiers (Sport moves and Abilities like Overgrow), so in retrospect I could've checked that. Perhaps it should be changed to "DoubleDmg" like I put in Gen 2 (from "WBR") as well, since as you mentioned other moves use the modifier? Awesomelink234 (talk) 02:01, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
What you did yesterday seems reasonable to me. Nescientist (talk) 12:20, 13 August 2022 (UTC)

Re: Starmobile Abilities

I have added the abilities of the five Starmobile forms to their respective pages as well as the Pokémon's main page. I do not believe the Infobox template currently supports having seven abilities for a single Pokémon, so they are simply in the article text for now. Additionally, I believe the real name of the Starmobile forms should be used on the ability pages rather than their typing, integrating the respective form into the current list if possible. - unsigned comment from TM06 (talkcontribs) at 06:05, 23 November 2022 (UTC)

Alright, thanks! But in the future, remember to sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). Awesomelink234 (talk) 16:46, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
