Tara Strong (born Tara Charendoff) is a Canadian-American actress and voice actress. She began voicing characters in the English dub of the Pokémon anime beginning with Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
Biography
Strong's acting career dates back to her early childhood. She became interested in acting when she was four years old and volunteered to be a soloist at a school production. She worked with the Yiddish Theater, where she memorized her lines phonetically because she did not know the Yiddish language. Her first major cartoon role, at the age of 13, was the titular character of Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater.
At the height of her career, Tara Strong voiced numerous animated characters, such as Twilight Sparkle in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Hip and Hop Koopa in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Bubbles in Cartoon Network's The Powerpuff Girls, and the titular character of the original Ben 10 series. For Nickelodeon, she provided the voices of Dil Pickles in Rugrats and Timmy Turner in The Fairly OddParents. For DC animation, she voiced Batgirl and Harley Quinn in a number of films and shows, and most of all, Raven in Teen Titans.
Strong joined the Pokémon anime when she was cast as Liko's Sprigatito in Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
