Instead of move variations, we can generalize.
For example, "moves that just boost a stat". Separate into "boost by 1, boost by 2", etc. Then "moves that boost two stats", etc.
I'm currently more interested in "abilities that raise a stat by 50% when status'd":
Ability name | Stat | Triggering ailment |
---|---|---|
Marvel Scale | Defense | (any) |
Guts | Attack | (any) |
Toxic Boost | Attack | PSN, TOX |
Flare Boost | Attack | BRN |
Quick Feet | Speed | (any) |
I can also think of "abilities that increase stats under weather conditions", and "abilities that boost a stat when hit by certain attacks" (with a column for "immune": whether or not the ability grants immunity).
Point is, there's a lot of categorization that could be done to improve navigation and associations. The current page for move variations excludes moves for changing, say, PP, and that really doesn't seem like a big deal. --Raijinili (talk) 17:19, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
