Pokémon Trading Card Game Art

The Pokémon Trading Card Game has had a large amount of illustrators who have each brought a unique style to their work, with some using mediums such as clay modelling.

Corporate Art

Corporate art is created by The Pokémon Company and The Pokémon Company International. It is used to advertise products such as Pokémon Center merchandise as well as certain games and online services. The art is characterized by thick lines and bright colors.

Merchandise

Corporate art has been a hallmark of Pokémon Center store advertising. It is used as product illustrations as well as the logos of individual stores.

Games

The first game to utilise the corporate art style was Pokémon Channel.

Online applications

The corporate art style is perhaps most famously associated with the Pokémon Global Link and Pokémon Dream World. Other online applications like Pokémon: Kids Winter Fest also use corporate art to represent Pokémon.

Other uses

Corporate art is often used to represent Pokémon in crossovers. Almost every Pokémon series Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is corporate artwork as are most of the art-based badges in Nintendo Badge Arcade.

Animation Art

A specific style is used for art related to the anime.
