• Trainers registered with the Trainer's Eyes^RS/Match Call^E can be rematched
• Get an Amulet Coin from your mother in Littleroot Town
• Obtain TM36 (Sludge Bomb) near Dewford Hall
• Wattson stands in the center of Mauville City, requesting that the generator in New Mauville (accessible by surfing on Route 110) be shut down as a safety precaution, and he gives the player the Basement Key to access it. After shutting off the generator, Wattson can be spoken to again in the same location to obtain TM24 (Thunderbolt).

After defeating the Elite Four

• Latios/Latias starts roaming
• Take the S.S. Tidal to the Battle Tower^RS/Battle Frontier^E
• Obtain a Beldum in Steven Stone's house in Mossdeep City
• RS: Sky Pillar
• Emerald only:
  • The National Pokédex is obtained, thereby permitting trading with FRLG
  • Steven Stone appears in Meteor Falls
  • Altering Cave becomes accessible on Route 103
  • Groudon and Kyogre appear in Terra Cave and Marine Cave, respectively
  • Desert Underpass (containing the unselected fossil) becomes accessible on Route 114
  • Hoenn Safari Zone expands
  • Gym Leaders can be rematched

After completing the Hoenn Pokédex
