- Full Incense in Veilstone City
- various items on Route 213
- various items at Hotel Grand Lake

Waterfall (with Surf)
- Meadow Plate and Wave Incense on Route 210

- cavern in Mt. Coronet containing a Stone PlateDP or the Adamant and Lustrous OrbsPt (Rock Climb is also needed)
After Obtaining the National Pokédex
Most of these also require defeating the Elite Four first.
- See Cresselia on Fullmoon Island and cause her to start roaming
- Pal Park
- Dual-slot/dongle mode
- Battle Zone (other than just the Fight Area)
- Catch a different rare Pokémon every day in the Trophy Garden behind the Pokémon Mansion on Route 212
- After first accessing Pal Park, Prof. Oak will appear in the southernmost house in Eterna City. In Diamond & Pearl, he gives out an Up-Grade there. In Platinum, talking to him there causes the legendary birds to start roaming Sinnoh.

- find pre-Generation IV fossils in the Underground
- access an area of Victory Road featuring Marley and leading to Route 224
- get a Metal Coat from Byron in the house on Iron Island
- Pre-National Pokédex in Platinum:

- Catch Rotom in the Old Chateau
- Talk to Bebe in Hearthome City to get an Eevee
Other
- The president of the Pokétch Company in Jubilife City gives you a new Pokétch application after you obtain one, three, five, and seven gym badges.
- After all eight Gym Badges are obtained, Mr. Goods in Hearthome City will give you a Gym Statue for your secret base.
