Goh's Beedrill (Japanese: ゴウスピア Go's Spear) is the tenth Pokémon that Goh caught in the Kanto region, and his eleventh overall.

Beedrill attacking Goh and Ash

In JN006, Beedrill was encountered at Vermilion Forest. It was part of a swarm of Beedrill that attacked Goh when he caught Kakuna. When the others were trapped by Pikachu's Electroweb, Goh caught the lone Beedrill that wasn't hit, assuming it was the strongest. After that, Goh kept it at the Cerise Laboratory.

In JN014, Goh used Beedrill to cross the Desert Resort, during the route he attacked Ash's Dragonite. Later, it was used in a battle against a Golurk in a Max Raid Battle, however, it was easily defeated.

In JN015, Goh uses Beedrill alongside other Bug Pokémon to find the bone of a wild Cubone. While searching, it tries to find information with a nearby wild Bellsprout.

Personality and characteristics

Beedrill is extremely aggressive, even attacking its own Trainer and others. Beedrill is very competitive, even creating a brief rivalry with Ash's Dragonite as it and its Trainer crossed the Desert Resort. Beginning with JN015, Beedrill appears fully involved with the rest of the Goh's team and more obedient to its Trainer's commands. When they find Cubone's missing bone and are introduced to its Trainer’s family, Beedrill proudly presents itsself as one of the Goh's Pokémon.
