I am a relatively new fan compared to most people here as I only started properly playing Pokémon in 2007, I didn't even start liking it by using any official Pokemon resources. It all started when I downloaded a Blaziken character for a game called Mugen. I thought he looked cool so I decided to see if I could find him in a copy of Pokémon Red that my parents had got me from a car boot sale (Garage sale) a while ago. I then asked a friend of mine where I could find it, he then told me that there were more Pokémon games than just Red and Blue which made me want to find out about these other versions and get copies of them. After about half a year I was introduced to competetive Pokémon battling by another friend of mine who fought my un-EV trained team with a full EV trained team, needless to say I struggled severly to get any of his Pokemon fainted. He then gave me an event Deoxys he had EV trained and soft resetted for to get me started with EV'd Pokemon. I then learned how to EV train and IV breed and soft reset and got into competetive battling.
