Electric Terrain (Japanese: エレキフィールド Elec Field) is a type of terrain introduced in battle in Generation VI. It was introduced in the overworld in Generation VIII.

Effects

In battle
- Increases the power of Electric-type moves used by Pokémon on the ground by 30% (50% prior to Generation VIII).
- Prevents Pokémon on the ground from falling asleep and being afflicted by Yawn.
- Activates the Abilities Surge Surfer, Quark Drive, and Hadron Engine.
- Activates the held item, Electric Seed, regardless of whether or not the holder is on the ground. This boosts the holders Defense by one stage, and consumes the item.
- Pokémon on the ground take double damage from Rising Voltage.
- Allows Steel Roller to be used, regardless of whether the user is grounded.
- Changes Terrain Pulse to an Electric-type move.
- Changes Nature Power to Thunderbolt.
- Changes users of Camouflage and Mimicry to Electric-type.
- Gives Secret Power the added effect of Paralysis and gives it Thunder Shock's animation.
- Causes natural objects to disappear while in effect. They cannot be destroyed while terrain until they return.

In the Wild Area, Electric Terrain occurs in thunderstorms, affecting what kind of Pokémon appear and often making Electric-type Pokémon more common.
