The Pokémon Center theme is a musical theme that has appeared in every core series Pokémon game, typically appearing inside Pokémon Centers, but also occasionally in Poké Marts and other similar institution.

The main melody is 16 measures long. It comprises two main sections: A, the first eight measures, and B, the next eight measures.

In each game

Pokémon Red and Green

In its original iteration, it is approximately 132 beats per minute, and in the key of D major. It features a very simple harmony, only using the I, IV, and V chords, and inversions upon them.

Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal

The wave channel, functioning as the bass, is syncopated, rather than simply being a stream of eighth notes. There is also an additional noise channel, functioning as percussion. Apart from that, this version is nearly identical to the original.

Pokémon Communication Center

The Pokémon Communication Center in Pokémon Crystal Version uses a different song based on the same melody. It is somewhat slower, at 119 beats per minute, and is in C major instead. The percussion is more complex, and the bass is more similar to the original. It also has a short intro measure.

Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald

This iteration is slower, at approximately 104 beats per minute. It is in A major.

It features slight variations in the melody and bounces it across multiple instruments. In the B section, the flute plays the melody, with strings playing an ornamented version in the background. The flute then diverges from the melody, leaving only the background strings with it. Since the GBA allowed for greater sound depth, it is much more richly orchestrated. The harmonies are largely unchanged.

Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum

Day

The song is in E major, and is at 116 beats per minute. Just like in Generation III, variations are applied to the main melody. The harmony is much more involved than previous versions, especially in the B section. Additionally, at the end of the loop, a short four measure conclusion is added.

Night

A much more laid-back, slow swing version of the main theme. It is in C major and is 100 beats per minute; however, the melody is rhythmically augmented to be half the speed. The melody is more similar to the original, but it is made more complex by a countermelody filling in the spaces. Harmonically, this version is very different from most others, including its daytime counterpart. It starts out with mostly piano, but horns join in on the B section. A two measure conclusion is added at the end of the loop.

Pokémon Black and White

This version of the theme returns to the unvaried melody in Red and Green, but takes some harmonic aspects from the Diamond and Pearl iteration.
