Right now, Pokémon is my secret obsession. I first got into the fandom around late 2010/early 2011 after seeing a couple of my friends playing Pokémon. It looked interesting, so I begged my mom to let me get a Pokémon game. My first game was a copy of Pearl I found at a used game store, and I still have it (though it's rarely played). I took a break from the fandom in late 2012 and came back in mid 2014, though now I try my hardest to hide the fact that I'm a Pokémon fan from my classmates and non-fandom friends. Fandom has always been my escape, and I don't want most people from real life to get involved in my fandom life.
