Trivia

Atsushi Nagashima, the game director of the TCG, has stated that Espeon and Umbreon were chosen to be featured on TAG TEAM cards because the development team wanted a pairing of Psychic and Dark Pokémon.[1] This card was featured in the Tag Team GX Starter Sets alongside Espeon & Deoxys-GX. As Espeon's TAG TEAM partner was Deoxys, Darkrai was chosen as Umbreon's partner so both Eeveelutions would be accompanied by Mythical Pokémon.[2]

The Regular print of this card forms a narrative illustration with Umbreon from Aquapolis. These prints show Umbreon on rooftops in a city with a clock tower, with one depicting Umbreon awake at night while the other depicts Umbreon sleeping during the day. Mitsuhiro Arita, who illustrated the Aquapolis Umbreon, drew the Regular print of this card with Umbreon standing alongside Darkrai on a similar rooftop with the same clock tower in the background.[3]
