As revealed in Better, Farther, Stronger!, Dragonite once used to belong to Ult's father and was later given to his son.
In The Dusk Ball That Wouldn't Open, reacting with Ult's willingness to fight for others, Dragonite appeared before him for the first time and quickly defeated Indi and Rubina's Darmanitan. In the next episode, when Ult called for its strength in order to protect the ones he cares about, Dragonite appeared once again. This time, it Mega Evolved, allowing it to overpower the opposing Rabsca's Gravity and defeat them. Alongside Roy's Mega Lucario, it defeated the Explorers duo's Zen Mode Darmanitan.
Dragonite's known moves are Dragon Rush and Hyper Beam.
