Hey guys what about provinces--Megamaxxor 15:10, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

can I change Ohio's symbol to Pidgey as it is the birthplace of aviation? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 15:26, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

aww but I think a Seedot represents a buckeye pretty well :3 (<-- is from Ohio lol) (Yaminokame 15:31, 13 December 2009 (UTC))
What about Arceus? Ohio's state motto is "With god, all things are possible". Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 22:47, 14 December 2009
hes from Ohio, i think he knows whats best. besides, if we put Arceus to every state that represented God there would be a lot of Arceus. -- MAGNEDETH 22:58, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
I'm also from Ohio. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:00, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
WHAT?!?! well, id still like to refrain from using Arceus on the state tags. -- MAGNEDETH 23:41, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Okay. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:43, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

I think we could do a much better job on Illinois's tag. Unless there's something about Illinois that I missed, I don't think pidgeot does a good job really. --Bee § Bwakka♂ (meh talk) 02:51, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm assuming whoever designed Nevada went with Torkoal because of our state reptile (the desert tortoise), but I went with Swablu for my personal tag. The reason is that desert tortoises can really only be found in one part of the state (the south), while the state bird (mountain bluebird) can be found all over the place. I figured Swablu was probably the closest to a bluebird, though I suppose Articuno is equally appropriate.

Just putting it out there. You guys can do whatever you want.

I changed it to show Vespiquen, with a black and yellow tag. This is the BEEHIVE STATE, and Wingull doesn't really fit for me. Just message me if you disagree. Pringles 01:16, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

Rhode Island

Changed from Blaziken (which is, admittedly, a pretty awesome representation of the Rhode Island Red) to Clamperl, and I doubt any other native Rhode Islander will challenge me on it. It's not called the Ocean State for nothing -- the entire heart of the state is the bay, and there's so much shoreline, the state is 3% larger at low tide. The ideal symbol would be some sort of anchor Pokémon, since that's the actual state symbol, but they haven't made such a Pokémon yet, so... the next best symbol is the quahaug, which is both the state shell and a significant part of RI's history and modern culture. But not the actual name of a town, despite what a certain cartoon suggests.

Shellder or Cloyster could also work, but Clamperl seems the closest physiologically. And matches the current colors to boot. --Pie ~ 01:56, 2 April 2014 (UTC)

I changed it from Wingull to Flabébé because, in my opinion, Flabébé strongly resembles the pink-and-white lady's slipper, the state flower, and Wingull doesn't even look like a common loon. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 02:03, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
