Release information

This card was included as a Regular card and a Full Art illustration rare card in the Destined Rivals expansion, first released in the Japanese Glory of the Rocket Gang expansion. The Regular print features artwork by Megumi Mizutani, while the Full Art illustration rare print features artwork by Shimaris Yukichi. A Cosmos Holofoil variant of the Regular print was made available in the Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex Box from June 13, 2025.

In Japan, the Regular print was reprinted as a Mirage Holofoil SV-P Promotional card and was available as an insert in two magazines published by Shogakukan: the July & August 2025 issue of CoroCoro Ichiban!, which was released on May 20, 2025;[1] and issue 94 of Pokémon Fan, which went on sale July 17, 2025.[2] The Japanese SV-P Promotional print features the CoroCoro Ichiban! and Pokémon Fan logos in the bottom left corner of the artwork.

The Regular print is reprinted in the Ascended Heroes special expansion, originating from the Japanese Start Deck 100 Battle Collection. The Ascended Heroes print has two Mirror Holofoil variants featuring either a Colorless Energy symbol or a Team Rocket logo.

Trivia

Origin

Meowth is a member of Team Rocket, specifically part of a trio with Jessie and James. Team Rocket leader Giovanni, who owns a Persian (an Evolution of Meowth) and whom Meowth admires, is featured on the card. Fury Swipes is a move in the Pokémon games that Meowth can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Scarlet.
