Trivia

This card's ability is similar to that of Team Magma's Camerupt from the EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua expansion. The only differences were that the old Team Magma's Camerupt wasn't restricted to only getting or from the discard pile and that the old ability damaged the user.

Origin

Flame Ball's Japanese name is that of Flame Orb, a held item later introduced in the Generation IV Pokémon games. A pair of Team Magma Grunts are featured in the illustration. This card's Pokédex entry comes from the viewpoint of a male Team Magma Grunt.
