Release information

This card was included in the Twilight Masquerade expansion with artwork by Sanosuke Sakuma, first released in the Japanese Transformation Mask expansion. Cosmos Holofoil variants of this print were given to customers who spent $15 on TCG products at GameStop in Canada and EB Games in Australia and New Zealand. The respective stores' logo is stamped in the bottom right corner of the artwork of each print.

A Full Art SVP Black Star Promotional print with artwork by kodama is available in the Twilight Masquerade Elite Trainer Box released May 24, 2024. A second version with the Pokémon Center logo above the Retreat Cost was made available in the Twilight Masquerade Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box from the same day. In Japan, this Full Art print is included as a SV-P Promotional card alongside an unnumbered Jumbo card variant in the Ogerpon Special Jumbo Card Set, released on May 17, 2024. In Indonesia, this card is released as part of the "Ogerpon Face Challenge" social media campaign. In order to receive the card, participants of the campaign have to upload a video on the social media platform TikTok using special Ogerpon-themed filters, and then answer a quiz about Ogerpon afterward.[1] A Cosmos Holofoil version of the Twilight Masquerade print, featuring a Pikachu jack-o'-lantern stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork, was available in Trick or Trade 2024 BOOster Bundles from August 30, 2024.
