Vital Throw in Generation I?

Go here. --Johans 16:09, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Did this happen to you?

I'm training a Crobat on Sinnoh Route 211, and I found a Machoke so I used FLY but I got hit by VITAL THROW, just after I took off. If anyone else has had this experience, please add that to the article. Truthseeker4449 14:06, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

No Guard, one of Machoke's abilities. Has nothing to do with Vital Throw. - Blazios talk 14:12, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Ah. Thank you Truthseeker4449 15:14, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Sketching without inspiration?

How could Smeargle be an exception, if no other pokémon can learn the move in generation II then Smeargle couldn't learn it either? Nickvang 21:50, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Machop, Machoke, and Machamp could learn Vital Throw in Generation II as it was their signature move until Generation III. The trivia is noting that Smeargle is the only Pokémon introduced in Generation II capable of learning Vital Throw, via Sketch, despite Vital Throw also being introduced in Generation II. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 22:07, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
