It says on this page that moves that change the Ability of a Pokémon will not work on Pokémon with Truant. But in the trivia section of Slaking's page it says "Moves like Entrainment also nullify Truant by causing it to be replaced by another Ability." Which of these is correct? --Queenwillneverdie (talk) 10:35, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

This one. Slaking's page has been fixed. glikglak 14:21, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

Sleep

While battling, my slakoth was put to sleep after attacking. When it awoke 4 turns later, truant triggered. Yet according to the page, that shouldn't happen. Could it be the turn count being even? The game was omega ruby, so it can't have been an older version issue...

Probably, Truant didn't update while your Slakoth was asleep, because it wasn't successfully able to make a move. Without the Ability updating, it continued where it left off before your Slakoth fell asleep. Does that make sense to you? Litwick96 15:06, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Using an item does not count as a turn for the purposes of Truant

I don't know if this was changed in later gens, but I'm currently playing Emerald and it does count. I can use an item and then when I use a move it works, so the item turn used up the loafing around turn. Arkz (talk) 04:01, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
