1st floor of Ruby hideout needed!

There's 4 floors in Team Magma's Hideout in Ruby and the floor that the table says is the 1st floor is not the 1st floor, it's really the second floor. Can someone get the real 1st floor/entrance plan of Team Magma's Hideout in Ruby and put in the table? Thanks. Dialgafan1 23:44, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Umm...

Could someone please take the numbers out of the Ruby images? I know that they are for the guide t it, but they aren't in the Aqua Hideout. The numbers look knid of odd and out of place.- unsigned comment from Pawsrent (talkcontribs)

I don't understand what you want. There are no numbers in the pictures. --SnorlaxMonster 07:44, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
a:File:Magma3.png He's talking about this one.--Midnight Blue 07:50, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah we need better screenshots. The other ones also have Grunts in them, but our maps are not supposed to include people. I think they are scans from a game guide. --SnorlaxMonster 09:30, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Split

This page is about two different hideouts that happen to have the same name. One is on the outskirts of Lilycove City and is fairly small, while one is at Jagged Pass and much larger. This isn't right. Two locations with such strongly different layouts should not be lumped together on the same page.

The easiest/clearest way to illustrate the problem is this: if someone visits this page right now, the Emerald picture is in the infobox, so if they're playing Ruby or Omega Ruby, that's damn confusing. Simply reversing the situation wouldn't be much of an improvement either. The far better solution is to have separate pages, so we can explicitly say at the top of each, "There's another similar location in these other games..."

I tend to think both locations should get disambiguating parentheticals (and this page could become a disambiguation page), but part of me thinks using the locations for the parentheticals isn't great. If someone has any better ideas, that'd be very welcome. Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:59, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

It may be best to call the separated pages something along the lines of "Team Magma Hideout (Pokémon Ruby)" and "Team Magma Hideout (Pokémon Emerald)" rather than by location. Litwick96 01:34, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
The problem with that is, the Lilycove location isn't only in Pokemon Ruby, it's in Ruby and Omega Ruby. And "Ruby, Omega Ruby" or something wouldn't be great either. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:52, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Bumping this long-overdue discussion. I support disambiguating by location, per Tiddlywinks' concerns. bwburke94 (talk) 16:19, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
I agree that it should be split. Although not perfect, I support the idea of "Team Magma Hideout (Ruby)" and "Team Magma Hideout (Emerald)". It's the most concise way to differentiate the two, and "Ruby" could also refer to Omega Ruby. I think putting "Pokémon" in the title, such as "Team Magma Hideout (Pokémon Ruby)", would be a bit much though. --Celadonkey 20:01, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
I agree with earlier comments. It should be split. The only difficulty may be the "in the anime" (and possibly "in the manga") section; which page would these be placed under? Kidburla (talk)17:20, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
Personally, I think that this page should be about Team Magma's hideout in Emerald while the one in Ruby and Omega Ruby should be merged with the page for Team Aqua's hideout. --LavaringX (talk) 05:31, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
I agree that separating and merging the villainous team hideouts based on location/layout is the best idea! from many different ways it could be stated that the jagged path magma hideout is a completely different location from the lilycove one regardless of its name. It is narratively different (serves a different purpose in the story), has a different layout, exists in a different physical location(jagged pass vs lilycove city), and the jagged path one is completely exclusive to emerald. Alternatively, the lilycove hideouts are the same place, as, regardless of name, they are located in the same physical place, have nearly identical layouts, have the same narrative purpose, and are only different from each other for the sake of *version differences*. The best choice here is clearly to separate the emerald magma hideout to its own page and merge the ruby and omega ruby one with the aqua hideout. The best names for them would probably be "Magma Hideout (Emerald)" and "Lilycove Hideout", though there are likely better suggestions. Nikkie2571 (talk) 21:22, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, good point. The Aqua and Magma hideouts are extremely similar, and their differences can mostly just be chalked up to keeping version differences consistent. I think this is the best option. --Celadonkey (talk) 23:47, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

(resetting indent) I agree this page should be split. The two locations are absolutely different. I also agree that the Lilycove hideout could be merged with Team Aqua Hideout, the only problem then would be the name. For the Jagged Pass, the page could easily be called "Team Magma Hideout (Emerald)" or even "Team Magma Hideout (Jagged Pass). But for the hideout in lilycove, it could not be called just Team Aqua Hideout or Team Magma Hideout, since it had to be both, and any other name would be unofficial and just made up, so we may have to think more about this part. I have created two pages in my userspace: Team Magma Hideout (Lilycove City) and Magma Hideout (Jagged Pass). I chose not to merge Team Magma Hideout (Lilycove City) with Team Aqua Hideout for now, and to name Team Magma Hideout (Jagged Pass) as just Magma Hideout (Jagged Pass) because that's how it was in Emerald. The pages have basicaly the same content that this one has now, just properly divided. The anime, manga and TGC sections are the same in both pages, since there is no difference between the two hideouts in those media. Aside from some minor details I may not have noticed, the pages are pretty much ready to be mainspaced. I may talk to staff member now to see what should be done. Suic (talk) 02:35, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
