Talk:Sunsteel Strike (move)

Polish name

Could someone add the Polish name Słoneczne Uderzenie please? --Raltseye prata med mej 20:21, 23 October 2016 (UTC)

Can someone please clearly describe where Sunsteel Strike was used in SM053? In the first half, last half, last quarter? (I.e., preferably well enough so that I don't have to already know the episode/so I can find it while half skipping through.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:18, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply, but it was used shortly before the halfway point (i.e. shortly before the "Dare say?" segment). Nebby uses it to break the stone wall created by Nihilego/Lusamine. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:54, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
So... They find the wall. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, Turtonator uses Flamethrower, Marowak uses Bonemerang, and Lycanroc uses Stone Edge. Then Solgaleo turns glowy, takes a moment to look at everyone, and then basically just jumps towards the wall and breaks through it. And then stops glowing. (Is this the correct moment?)
Nothing in that sequence looks uniquely like anything in Sunsteel Strike's animation in the games. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:28, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
What about in its more recent appearance?--Rahl (talk) 14:14, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
Can you tell me what episode you are referring to (and where in the episode, similar to the request above)? Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:24, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
Rahl's referring to the recent appearance of the move in SM088. Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 06:12, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Yes, that looks like the full Sunsteel Strike animation in SM088 this time. Feel free to add the anime template for the SM088 use.
I will add it on ForceFire's user page for future reference. (And Moongeist Beam, which I forgot about.) Please ask me or any staff member if you think other moves should be identifiable. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:57, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
The move in SM053 was definitely Sunsteel Strike, despite the different animation, because Nebby used Searing Sunraze Smash at the end of the previous episode, which it can only do while knowing Sunsteel Strike. Plus, the move in SM053 featured Nebby entering its Radiant Sun Phase, which Solgaleo always does when using Sunsteel Strike. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:09, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Sunsteel Strike is not the only reason Solgaleo enters Radiant Sun phase. And it doesn't follow that if a Pokemon uses a Z-Move then we must have seen the base move before; that's not at all a requirement for Z-Moves. Tiddlywinks (talk) 04:11, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
