Emerald

Why does Pokémon Emerald reference it as the 'Gangster of the Sea' if, as every older fan knows, Tentacreul was also deemed the 'Gangster of the Sea' a long time ago in the pokédex and in the episode Tentacool and Tentacreul? Is Sharpedo more mischevious or more feared now? (I predict a challenge.) -Professor DJM

Or maybe that Tentacruel are more scarce in the Hoenn region, making Sharpedo a bigger problem.--Pokencyclopedia 15:17, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Name

...Sharpedo. Best results breeding with Level 10 and under. >> I couldn't help but notice that. Yeah, I know Sharpedo is reffering to 'torpedo' instead of what I'm saying, but it's still kinda funny. Tina δ 19:24, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

I swear I didn't know she was level 3. TTEchidnaGSDS! 23:28, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

sharpedo=game shark?!

I got a game shark once. it was already broken. anyway it came with a "shark light". i looked very closely and i noticed it was sharpedo! witch came first?Whatswithalltheextraspace 19:23, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

I highly doubt a resembelance between Sharpedo and the Gameshark logo is intentional, but the Gameshark came first. The Gameshark was available when Generation I was released, and since Sharpedo is a Generation III Pokémon, it's obvious the Gameshark was first. --Shiningpikablu252 19:32, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Edit Request

Episode Pokémon Source Entry
AG019 Sharpedo Ash's Pokédex Sharpedo, the Brutal Pokémon. Shapedo can shoot out a jet of water, allowing it to swim at 80 miles per hour. Due to their sharp fangs, they're highly feared and known as the Gangs of the Sea.

  • Also, do you think that the picture on the front page is too big? -Question Marx

Just curious

"However, it can only hope to survive moves it resists, and even they are going to be ripping holes into it." - what's this about? Why is it under physiology?

Garchomp

has anyone else noticed that sharpedo & garchomp have similar yellow markings on their heads? Vuvuzela2010 20:51, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Glow in the dark

In Pokémon Ranger Guardian Signs the game shows Sharpedo eyes as glowing in the dark, but I cannot see this information on the page. Nor do I know where it would best fit. 011284mm 19:01, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

name

sharpEDO, pronounced EEDO. Think it comes from 'speedo'? i added it once but now its gone. - unsigned comment from Mpcamel1729 (talkcontribs)

I doubt that's where it comes from. It's from torpedo. Makes more sense. --ケンジガール 04:13, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Mystery Dungeon edit

I made an edit on the Sharpedo page which is about in the beginning of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness there's a cliff shaped like a Sharpedo. Go check out the game, it is shaped like one. ArceusVsMew 19:29, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

camerupt counter part really?

The reasoning is pretty flimsy. To be counterparts to me you either have to be obviously related(plusle+minun, volbeat+illumise) or be version exclusives, neither of which camerupt and sharpedo fit. 0danmaster0 (talk) 17:34, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Official site has artwork up of Mega Sharpedo, Mega Camerupt, and Mega Gallade

Shall we use those images in the place of the CoroCoro leak images currently in the tables of the respective Pokemon?StongRadd (talk) 01:20, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

They're already uploaded, the server just needs to refresh the image. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 01:59, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

Mega Sharpedo's model in ORAS/SUMO/USUM vs. PMD:DX

Although Mega Sharpedo's official artwork has three spikes on either side of it's face and multiple Pokedex entries where Mega Sharpedo are available reference this, the spikes on it's face are missing from it's in-game model in ORAS, SUMO, and USUM. I have yet to test this myself, but is this same inconsistency shared with Mega Sharpedo's model in PMD:DX? - unsigned comment from Faeriefruit98 (talkcontribs)

Sprite/model trivia isn't notable.--ForceFire 06:41, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
