Possible first sun and moon series Pokémon death

Based on the plot of the episode with Stoutland getting sick then running away, it can make one assume that he left Litten to go die in peace. This can further be inferred by the cloud scene of Stoutland looking down on Litten. Jpderouin (talk) 19:01, 6 April 2017 (UTC)Jpderouin

We cannot speculate or assume. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:04, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
I pentaheard the narration. It is clearly stated "別れる", that mean it was exactly died, not a speculation. KyleRGiggs 14:53, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
That does not mean death. That means to split off or separate from. 死 (Shi) is death. --ForceFire 15:04, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
On the other hand, that plot device is a common way of avoiding direct discussion of death in children's shows, so it would be the most logical conclusion to make in this case. The couch leg breaking and the leaves falling off don't leave much room for interpretation in that regard. --UB00 (talk) 22:42, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
Even the most logical conclusion, with the least room for interpretation, is still a conclusion that requires some interpretation. The staff have been very clear in edit summaries on the various related pages that Bulbapedia is not going to represent this assumption as factual, even though it's the clear assumption to make. There is no such thing as death on here. We must avoid the issue. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:48, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Looks as if it way heavily implied though, with Stoutland pulling off the Mufasa shtick off in the clouds, the Nurse talking that way to Ash, Litten's dream and the falling leaves.--Arisboch (talk) 16:38, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Regardless, Bulbapedia does not deal with implications. We report on facts only. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 16:46, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Too bad.--Arisboch (talk) 17:54, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

SM108

In one of the scans from SM108 we've seen so far, Torracat is seen meeting Stoutland at the Ruins of Hope. Could this be the solid proof required to 100% confirmed that Stoutland has died, not just disappeared? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:46, 31 January 2019 (UTC)

If it is or does make it confirmed, then this article will still say "vanished" since its death was still not revealed in this episode, but SM108 (like how we do for Pokémon that learns a move off screen).--ForceFire 04:40, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
