Dub title card

Has there been at least a single instance of an episode in which the dub didn't use Ash on it? If not, then does it even make sense to mention the change in every episode's article?--Elveonora (talk) 13:55, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Thank you so much for bringing it up. I was thinking about the same thing for a while now. As you mentioned above, it seems really unnecessary to mention it in every single article, if it's the case for every English dubbed episode of the respective season. Adding a trivia to the series article about the edit would be a better choice. AdynizWanna talk? 12:37, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

Serena

Can someone who can update this page include Serena's new look in the gallery section? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 02:41, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Trivia addition

This isn't really anything major, but there are more similarities with the Advanced Generation series than are listed in the article. Could someone add these things there? I just feel like the similarities are very interesting:

-Both sets of siblings are in some way connected to the fifth Gym Leader of their home region, and both May and Clemont tried to hide this fact from Ash at first.

-Neither May nor Serena knew what path they wanted to follow until after they had been traveling with Ash and company for a while.

-The Advanced Generation series and the XY series are the only two story arcs in which Ash did not have a major rival introduced early on that was integral to his character development during his journey.

I think these are notable enough, they might be kind of specific though. AGGRON989 22:04, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Season 18

I know there is not much of an official title for this season but shouldn't it have its own page by now like every other season?Rahl 17:14, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

There's a Season 18 page being worked on in the userspace at the moment, (two actually). The administration is making some final decisions about how to go about handling all of the dub seasons before we mainspace the page for Season 18. --Pokemaster97 18:35, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

The series is airing in Vietnam as "Pokémon thế hệ XY" (Pokémon XY generation). Please add to the box.--Magicknight94 (talk) 10:06, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

Unlock

Can an admin unlock this page please. It was locked because of XY&Z speculation, and we are now two episodes into it. --HoennMaster 00:42, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Done. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 01:01, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. --HoennMaster 02:00, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

No "Special Guest Star"

I expect to see again Iris or May but don't might be good fact for the trivia section. --HoopsterJohn (talk) 02:04, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

It's already there, it's just hidden because the series hasn't ended yet. --HoennMaster 03:59, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

Trivia

I don't agree that this is the only region Ash releases a starter Pokemon. This doesn't seem any different than when Ash let his Squirtle join the Squirtle Squad, it is under someone else's care/watch to perform a job. Even Charizard was similarly left for a time and came back, which could easily still happen with Greninja. Sc190191 (talk) 23:40, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

Charizard and Squirtle were left with people...Greninja was left in the wild....big difference. --HoennMaster 04:46, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for being rude! Its not a big difference and I think it would be very misleading to people reading the article that did not watch the Original Series, but whatever, that's why I mention it on here rather than making changes.Sc190191 (talk) 00:23, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Trivia entry

I also noticed something else, Ash's original series outfit has never been shown at all in the XY series, not even once (including flashbacks). Can I add this to the trivia page? PokeAmour (talk) 04:09, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

I know this has been deleted, but I agree in that it should be added. Hidden text in the page says this is "insignificant", and that "the original series outfit should NOT be expected to make an appearance". If we go with that logic, then one could argue we shouldn't expect Ash getting a Grass-type starter, Ash travelling to the region alone, Ash crossdressing, the starters not coming all from the regional Professor, etc. I can't see how the absence of his OS outfit is any less notable than the other points listed here. Perhaps we can reword it as the only series that doesn't feature any flashbacks to the original series? --Gabo 2oo (talk) 04:01, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
I absolutely agree with Force Fire. Tracking the appearances of an outfit is way too crufty. But on the other hand, if XY is truly the only series not to feature any OS flashbacks, I think that would be very much notable (though I haven't fact-checked it, so I don't know if it's true or just hypothetical). Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:37, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Well, OS definitely featured flashbacks within itself. DP074 had a flashback to Ash receiving Pikachu's Thunder Stone (I don't remember specific episodes, but there's also a flashback to Buttefree and probably others throughout the series). BW116 was pretty much a flashback fest, then the Butterfree and Clair episodes had some too. Now there's SM042 with Misty and Brock's return. I didn't recall any for AG but I just checked and AG189 had a whole montage focusing on Ash's Kanto starters. I'll add the trivia. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 19:15, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

Trivia Point

So it says that it’s the only series in which a traveling companion temporarily leaves the group, but didn’t Brock temporarily leave Ash and Misty during the Orange Island arc of the Original series? MarioKero345 (talk) 21:11, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

Yes, but this situation was different. Brock left for the entirety of Orange Islands and then rejoined for Johto. Those were separate journeys though. Clemont left in the middle of the Kalos journey and then rejoined a few episodes later. --HoennMaster 00:37, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
I see. Should I make that point a bit more clear, like have it say it’s the only series in which a companion temporarily leaves in the middle of a journey?MarioKero345 (talk) 01:26, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
That sounds fair. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:09, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
