Wild Call?

I was in this dungeon, and on one of the floors I saw a message that said "Jynx picked up the Wild Call". I only saw it for a split second, so that might not have been the exact name, but I know it was in green text. Anyone know what this is all about? EnosShayremTalk 22:00, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

I FOUND IT AGAIN. This time in Fiery Field though.
"Magcargo used the Wild Call.
Machoke warped!"
I found the Magcargo later (I had X-Ray Specs, so I'm positive it was the only one on the floor) and it didn't have a Machoke with it, nor any item on defeat, so I guess it's used up after one use. I don't know whether the Machoke in question was already on the floor or not when it warped (i.e. I don't know whether it brings and existing Pokémon somewhere or if it creates a new one). There's nothing anywhere else on the wiki that I can see about it. -- EnosShayremtalk 02:25, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
Intresting, wonder what it can be, anyway next time you see it (this appeared in the message log I presume) look up the message log and take a good look on what it says there, maybe even take a photo or something, so you know for sure what it was it said word by word. And were the Pokémons' name blue? --Raltseye (talk) 10:32, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
The second time I found it there I was looking at the message log as I was typing it. I don't have a good way of taking pictures. Yes the names were blue. Also I just saw an Elekid in Lightning Field use one to no effect. -- EnosShayremtalk 22:19, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Years later now, I just learned that Wild Call is the internal name for the "attack" that's used when the player uses a Rollcall Orb. This explains why it was green like an attack, but not why it could be picked up like an item (assuming I read the first message right), why it would use "the" like an item, why wild Pokémon could use it, why it was showing up at all, and why I only saw it in the Legendary Beasts' dungeons, although the latter is likely a coincidence. It does prove that I wasn't hallucinating, though. -- EnosShayremtalk 06:08, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
