Page move

These two pages are pretty relevant to the question of moving this page.

In short: Moncollé (モンコレ) seems to be the way they primarily refer to their product line, so that should probably be what we call this page. This is especially true since Moncollé, with that "é", is not a simple abbreviation of Monster Collection. If you do a simple Google image search, you can also see plenty of examples of its very prominent position on packaging. We can simply note on this page that Moncollé/モンコレ is short for Monster Collection/モンスターコレクション (basically, like Pokémon).

There's a few things that may confuse the issue, but I think the above points still stand foremost...

  • As shown in the release, their English usage always capitalizes MONCOLLÉ. On the other hand, they also capitalize POKÉMON the whole time (and both are italicized), so maybe we can just put that down to a simple style.
  • The Japanese page also calls it "Moncolle", with a plain "e". On the one hand, it kind of shows they're okay with not capitalizing the whole word (and that they don't care about camel case). On the other hand, I have to assume that that plain "e" is a typo...and that kind of casts a shadow on those former assumptions.

hi Tiddlywinks,

i think its a great point but i think Moncolle should redirect to this page or at least suggest it since the line started out as Monster Collection at the start. I would also like to suggest this is made easier to find through such pages as the Tomy page and merchandise pages. Aubmaire (talk) 12:10, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

Return to "Monster Collection" page.
