This article is too useful not to have any links to it... --FabuVinny T-C-S 20:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I totally agree. Also, I'm adding the Pickup TMs. Maki 06:30, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Some of the TMs here are missing field locations, other than their location in a Game Corner, Battle Tower prize, and so on. Added U-Turn and Psychic to Generation IV's list. Dunno any others I missed. Gywall 13:05, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

What's the point of TM01 through TM92 and HM01 through HM08 if this page lists everything in those 100 pages. - Gligar 21:28, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Those articles are disambiguation pages that were just given a bit of expansion. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 19:14, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
I still don't think it's necessary... ht14 21:16, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
TM51-TM92 were redirects when I created them. Disambigs are necessary because TMs change between generations so a simple redirect is not possible. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 21:22, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
I meant THIS page... ht14 04:03, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

In my experience, it is far faster to find the information you're looking for regarding the location or contents of a particular TM by looking at its own page rather than searching through this page to find the right line of text. But if you're looking for a quick list of which TMs are limited and which aren't, this page is more useful than checking each TM page individually. It's useful to have the same information in both places. Yenreb 00:17, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Some but not all TMs are obtainable in the aforementioned RPG and I was wondering if we could compile a list of moves that can be taught in that game (Flamethrower is but Fire Blast isnt, for example)--Thomas Michael William Patrick Sales 17:02, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

PokéWalker info and more Pickup detail

I've added info on which TMs are available through the ItemFinder feature on the PokéWalker; I've also added more detail about Pickup on this page. If the latter is too much, feel free to remove it; however, I think the PokéWalker information will be very useful. Yenreb 00:13, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

How about Gamecube games?

Hey! I've been playing Pokemon Colosseum and, since it has a storyline, I've been able to get some TMs.
I'm sure that NOT ALL of them are available in this game, but I was wondering if it is worth mentioning it here, at the Gen III section (I don't know about the others, though)

  • At the start of the article it clearly says: "This is a list of the locations of all TMs and HMs across all Pokémon games."

Let me know, so I can research a little bit. ~Thanks in advance! --SaitoFX 21:10, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Definitely. If you can get the information, include it. Thanks. —darklordtrom 21:17, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Split by Generation?

This page is getting rather large and would most likely benefit from a split. Does anybody else feel the same way? --KinCryos (talk) 07:09, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

I am of two minds about it. On the one hand, I can definitely see where you are coming from, it IS getting rather unwieldy. On the other hand, it is SUPER convenient to have everything in one place. I think that, if we do end up splitting it, a link to the new article for each generation should go on the appropriate core series game's page, as well as on the main page for each generation, that way, it is easy to find. --ジェダイナイトディーティーブイ 02:19, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Navigation template

With this split, there ideally shouldn't actually be any links to this page. It's fine for searchers, it's just not quite right to link from within an article. So a navigation template would be a nice way to replace the current links to this page on TM and HM. The template could also then be placed on the bottom of each of the location lists, so users can navigate directly between those as well.

Below is code for a navigation template. (Colo/XD and PBR are linked somewhat redundantly, but I think that's much to the good and not likely to be confusing or anything.) I hope staff can approve it and create it as an official template.

After some discussion, the template should be fine to implement, however we feel that the extra links for Colosseum/XD and Battle revolutions are a bit unnecessary since they link back to its respective generation page and the pages are lined out clearly enough where they could easily be found. Also, listing the three games under "side series" can get a bit tricky since the inter-connectivity of those games with the main generation games makes its status a bit more ambiguous. Feel free to implement the template with these changes whenever you're ready. --Pokemaster97 04:53, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
For my part, I actually do not believe that the separation of the pages is a fully adequate indicator for where Colo/XD and PBR would be. IMO those games are just different enough that people may not expect them there. Especially, the core series page does not include those games, so IMO it is almost mandated (given the current presentation) that Colo/XD and PBR should have their own explicit links under "side series" (which they must be (or else an equivalent term, possibly "side games") regardless of any subjective ambiguity if they are not strictly "core"). I did toy around a bit with other presentations, but I liked what I posted above best.
At any rate, for now I've simply removed Colo/XD and PBR from the above. If anyone should want to adjust it somehow hereafter, they're free to. Tiddlywinks (talk) 07:05, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
