I'm mulling over how to do the 2-egg-group Pokémon without having duplicates of the same Pokémon. Ideas? Sidnoea 19:03, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

There could combinations like Water 2/Monster or Plant/Ground or dragon/ground. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 00:16, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Egg Group Names?

Where did these Egg Group Names come from, anyways? The Official Guide Books have them named differently. I think we should include both names, even though these are more common, or something. R S E FR LG 02:37, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

I would like to add Generation V to this...

I notice, however, that it's a terribly scrambled (why, for instance, does it need to be separated into groups like this?) page; even the template used for it is a hack. Do any higher-ups have suggestions for newer formatting or should I just add the new Pokémon using the current format? —hexagonTHEORY 06:50, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

I also think the setup is terrible. I think another LOP template is in order here; there would not be types, rather two spaces for the egg group, and it would all be in one sortable table. --SnorlaxMonster 06:45, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
I thoroughly like the way you think, sir. Are you permitted to create said template? —hexagonTHEORY 06:46, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Group coloration...

How do you feel about that? If nothing else, I think it'd at least make the table look a little nicer. —hexagonTHEORY 09:31, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

If you want. Colors already exist here. --SnorlaxMonster 13:16, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Delete

This info is on the Egg cycles page. I could see wanting to make that page a little prettier, but that's not really a difficult hurdle to overcome. So I'm thinking this page should be deleted.

I don't know if the link in Template:pokelist would be changed to point to Egg cycles or just removed... I kind of think it's nice for that to be "(by) Egg Group" to be prominent, so maybe the link should just get changed. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:00, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Delete the page but...

I like the List of Pokemon by Egg Groups page because you can sort by egg group. I am not able to do that from the Egg Cycles page. However, the Egg Cycles page has more information. I think that they should just be combined, honestly, and then the List of Pokemon by Egg Groups should be deleted. Nove (talk) 06:44, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Merge

The merge seems like a good thing to do, since the 2 pages are very similar.   QwertyJacob750 (talk) 20:37, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

Agree. The Egg Cycles list is already a sortable table that lists the Egg Groups, so this page is completely unnecessary. Nutter Butter (talk) 20:42, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

P.S. how do I put those side things on my talk page?

Ok honestly, the Egg cycles page includes the egg groups? So why is this page even necessary? Maybe just have it redirect to that page instead. ~KingisNitro (talk) 21:00, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

Unique Egg Group Combos

Having just come over from the page listing Pokemon with unique type combinations, Would it be worth suggesting a similar page for Pokemon with unique egg group combinations? Like Paras/Parasect is/are the only Pokemon in both the Bug and Grass egg groups, etc. Masternachos (talk) 22:30, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

Disagree to delete this page

This page right now is definitely unnecessary.

However, if the page is sort by Egg Groups by their index number (first Monster, then Water 1, ...) then this page is VERY useful. Bulbapedia should revert the changes to 07:00, 10 March 2014 https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_by_Egg_Group&diff=2087576&oldid=2007379 First Cubone, then Marowak, ....
