Appa?

Whats he doing in this page? Cerberus 18:45, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Linoone and Appa look kinda similar. Read the text. Tina 18:53, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

It's just too bad that Linoone can't learn any Flying-type moves. TTEchidna 22:57, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, that wouldn't make much sense, now would it? TheBlazikenMaster 23:16, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
It's... a very loose similarity. I don't automatically think of the the other while looking at one of them. --FabuVinny T-C-S 14:09, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Well I added the pic there, and I think they look totally alike. Right when I saw linoone, I was like "That's Appa!" --Theryguy512 18:11, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
It's a ferret and a six-legged Bison. They're white with brown markings but that's as far as it goes. --FabuVinny T-C-S 10:06, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Linoone isn't based upon Appa. Suggesting the pokemon Linoone concept ( from Japanese creators ) is based upon an obscure American cartoon trying to look Japanese is hilarious, especially when a lot of the pokemon concepts pre-date the show. I'd like to see citation. Linoone's name has the word "Line" in it. Arrow, line, you get the point, right? Appa is some goat thing. I don't see how a Line-Raccoon that's brown and white is a Bison-Goat-Thing. This isn't a fan fiction. Ph00kedup 14:37, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
The trivia doesn't say Linoone is based on Appa, it says the other way around. I find that information useful, but it's true that it can be only a coincidence. I haven't even seen the animation avatar, because I'm not really a television fan. TheBlazikenMaster 14:45, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Neither was directly based on the other. Linoone came first and Appa's character design was certainly created seperately. (Take a white bison, give it extra legs and the ability to fly, then add the airbender symbol). The question is whether they resemble each other enough for it to be worth mentioning. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 16:13, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
If we keep this, I think it should be mentioned that it's a coincidence somehow. TheBlazikenMaster 17:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
We shouldn't keep this, period. Opinion doesn't belong on any wiki, not even this one. LostDrewid 00:36, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
You are right about that, mostly. There are many criticism sections on Wikipedia, if criticism isn't personal opinions, then tell me what that is. But I agree, it should be proven it's more than a coincidence if it should be here. TheBlazikenMaster 11:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Racoone?

Hasn't Linoone got more in common with Meerkats? In the 3D games he is even seen standing on his hind legs as as Meerkat would and then dashing at the opponent. Also Linoone is supposed be very quick and Racoons aren't meant to be very fast. Watchcrow 22:23 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Trivia

Many others have similar sprites as well. --Prongs (TalkContributions) 04:04, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Linoone's Sprites

If you look at the very tip of Linoone's Gen. 3 sprite, there is a small black ring on it. This is not present in Gen 4. Billy 03:04, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

The page says that "Linoone's sprites do not change at all between the Generation III games and the Generation IV games (not including the animation)", but if you look at the back foot, it has been moved/rotated between the Generations. Mewtwo777 16:36, 1 July, 2010

I've removed the trivia point. There isn't any point in noting that they don't change much as that is the case with a large number of gen III Pokémon. Werdnae (talk) 20:06, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

ORAS held items

I'm playing ORAS and normal (non-dexnav) linoone can be holding potions. Harumei (talk) 15:08, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
