Boldore

I don't remember Goh catching a Boldore, so can we assume the Boldore was Ash's? --HygorBH (talk) 21:57, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

Honestly you never know what populations can pop up and drop off anywhere. Gotta wait until the episode airs to find out what the deal is.--KnightGalarie (talk) 21:59, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't get it. The episode has already aired.--HygorBH (talk) 22:04, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
But the one with Boldore hasn’t. What you saw was a preview for the next one.--KnightGalarie (talk) 22:06, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Oh, my bad, I think I needed to make myself more clear. I was referring to JN26's scene, where Goh's Magikarp was tacking itself against a Boldore. HygorBH (talk) 22:08, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Did Ash ever transfer all his other Pokémon from Professor Oak's Laboratory to the institute? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:23, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Not that I know of. We've never seen any of his other Pokémon other than Mr. Mime and those he caught during this series. HygorBH (talk) 22:26, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Exactly. It’s more plausible that it’s wild because of how wild populations can be trafficked in the Pokémon universe. Even if they don’t get any new attributes as they adapt.--KnightGalarie (talk) 22:28, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Pretty much. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:30, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
I agree, but then, I saw some pics of Cerise Laboratory, and the park is a closed off place, just like Sycamore's. If you see the images, they have a huge ceiling over the entire park... so it's not exactly where wild Pokémon can just wander into. Sorry if I keep disputing this, I just wanna make sure since I was the one who started all of this. HygorBH (talk) 22:32, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
It could belong to Cerise, it could be some wild Pokémon that was manually brought in... Unless Ash explicitly said the Boldore was his, anything else goes right now. It's probably best not to look too much into it right now. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:33, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
I agree. And that anything could even be that it was brought in for shelter but nobody actually owns it. That’s why speculating who does is pointless--KnightGalarie (talk) 22:49, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Occam's Razor: The only reason why a Boldore would show up, and on such quick notice, would be if it were readily available as in the case of Ash's. This statement holds true UNTIL proven false by contradicting evidence. Panky.. (talk) 17:58, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
Something as significant as Ash recalling his old Pokemon would have been addressed in some capacity. Just the presence of a Boldore in the vicinity is not enough of a reason to believe that it belongs to Ash. Until given more evidence, it should be considered a wild Pokemon. AdilTalk page 19:39, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
But why would a random and wild Boldore be present at Sakuragi Labs which for all intents and purpose, is a closed off dome where only Ash's rotation party and Goh's Pokemon are kept? Why would a random Boldore even be in Kanto in the first place? Like I said, Occam's Razor since most of the logic points it to being Ash's. Panky.. (talk) 20:39, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
Link--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 20:43, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
The park is in the vicinity of a research lab. The idea of a wild Pokemon being there is not inconceivable. I understand your Occam's Razor argument, but given the importance of something like Ash's former Pokemon, it doesn't make any logical sense at all that the anime will bring Ash's former Pokemon back, which we see being used in a battle (albeit short), and make no big deal of it. Not even a subtle reference to it or mention it in any way whatsoever, which is precisely why occam's razor doesn't work in this particular case. AdilTalk page 21:01, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
It's a reference to the Boldore Push training regimen in Magikarp Jump. ThighFish (talk) 04:09, 6 December 2020 (UTC)ThighFish
Goh just caught a Boldore in episode 50 could this episode take place after that?--Ovidkid (talk) 00:11, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
... No...--ForceFire 04:56, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Canon?

Is this episode even canon? It seems way too weird to be canon. ThighFish (talk) 04:08, 6 December 2020 (UTC)ThighFish

The anime has seen worse when it comes to continuity. Just smile and wave at it. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:23, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
