Romanization
Is "Hāpu'u" the official romanization of her name? Because it seems to me from the characters in her name that it'd just be "Hapu" or "Hapū". - unsigned comment from TheMaskedMeowth (talk • contribs)
- I don't know whether it's official or not, but it is an actual Hawaiian word, as noted in the "Names" section at the bottom of the page. If (if) there is no official romanization, then the fact that it's an actual word is probably why we're romanizing it that way, much as (for example) we romanize Current as "Current" instead of "Karento".
