Picture in Infobox

[[a:File:Darkrai Movie10.JPG|thumb|230px|??????]] The picture in the info box is kinda bad since it has all the shadows. Would this pic or the other pic on the page be better for the Infobox? (PLEASE DON'T YELL!) --Theryguy512 23:25, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

No. The other one isn't as blurry. Plus it looks so much cooler. :p
Besides, Darkrai's chest from that angle looks really... 'dude wtf' from that shot. Tina δ 23:27, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay then. I get what you're saying. P.S. You woulda thought that Darkrai had legs? --Theryguy512 23:30, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
I prefer the new because Darkrai's eye doesn't appear. Because the new shows more of Darkrai. It's good the way it is. Those aren't really Darkrai's legs. Those are its "expandible legs" Netto-kun Talk 23:33, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Plus the lighting on the other picture looks really awesome and stuff. ;O; *stares at picture for a bit* So...pretty... Tina δ 23:32, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Eh...the one you suggest really screws up Darkrai's eye/hair contrast. Stick with the old one. LordArceus 16:47, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

In the article it says they asked Palkia to fix everything. They didn't really ask they told it to fix it. Thoughts?Crystal Lucario 13:07, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I have the movie on DVD and watched it. I remember Ash (or was it Dawn?) saying "Please turn everything back to the way it was." It sounds more along the lines of a demand than a question. BlueJirachi 18:21, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

At least in English, he is yelling at Palkia. He says something close to "Palkia! Put everything back to the way it was right now!" I'm pretty sure the 'right now' is in there somewhere. LordArceus 16:47, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Is it just me or does it seem like Darkrai doesn't talk very much in the movie? BlueJirachi 20:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Besides 'really amazing' or 'ghost-like,' the first thing to come to mind when I think of Darkrai in the movie is 'reserved.' The fact that he rarely talks makes him seem cool. LordArceus 16:48, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Or maybe he just doesn't know many words. Taromon777 15:06, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Why does Darkrai (anime) have a when Darkrai (species) is genderless --lord mada 14:29, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

It was probably an accident in the dub.BlueJirachiWishMaker 14:30, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

should it be changed for this article --lord mada 14:31, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
if so can i have the honor--lord mada 14:32, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

The Japanese version did not mention Darkrai being male, but the dub does.BlueJirachiWishMaker 14:52, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I think it's rediculous that the genders for legendary Pokemon are all listed as "none" when it'd not 100% confirmed that anime pokemon are genderless, when we can't say whether normal pokemon are male or female unless it's 100% confirmed. (GT4GTR 11:23, 16 June 2008 (UTC))

their species are genderless and because they are in their species they are genderless --lord mada 18:30, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Lugia's species was also supposed genderless, and LOOK what it got, a kid. Heck, even the games hint that they aren't Truly genderless (well, technically, they weren't even genderless to begin with since they belonged to the "No Eggs" group, and not the "genderless" group that consists of the Magnemite family, the Staryu family, the Voltorb family.), considering their multiple appearances (Ho-Oh was captured in the Sevii Islands, Orre, AND Johto, which would have been impossible if there was only one. Lugia was caught in the Sevii Islands, Orre, AND Johto as well, which, like Ho-Oh before it, would have been impossible should it have been only one of a kind. the elemental bird trio was also hinted that there was more than one since they made an appearance in Kanto/Sevii Islands, Hoenn (they were owned by BRANDON, for goodness sakes), and Orre, plus the fact that Pokémon Snap had them hatching from eggs. the legendary beasts appeared in Johto, Kanto, Orre, and Fiore (even IF they could travel the world at the speed of sound, they wouldn't be appearing in any of those places should they have been captured by Wes, Male Ranger, and Gold. Besides, they also appeared in Kanto, despite the fact that the beasts should have been asleep in the Tin tower for 3 more years.), plus the fact that a new entei is born when a Volcano is created. the [email protected] were hinted to their being more than one in the Pokédex (though, I'll admit it isn't the BEST Source.), There are now 4 Pairs of Regis (the ones you needed to awake in RSE, the ones that Brandon that owns, the ones in Almia, and the ones unlocked in an event in DPP), the superanicent pokémon were hinted to having more than one of their species exist (The mere fact that they all appeared in Hoenn, Orre (under a master trainer's possession), and Fiore hints at that), Dialga and Palkia were seen in Sinnoh AND Almia (which, even with their ability to manipulate time and space, they wouldn't have appeared at all if they were captured by Lucas/Dawn), I'm pretty sure the 3 pixies made an appearance in Almia as well as Sinnoh, there were at least two cresselia in Sinnoh (one wild, one owned by Palmer), as well as one Cresselia in Almia, two Regigigas (again, one wild, one owned by Palmer [well, technically three, since there's the one handed out in theaters]) and one in Almia, and two heatrans (one wild, one owned by Palmer) in sinnoh and one in Almia, and for event Legends, Mew appeared in Kanto, Hoenn, Fiore, Pokemon Island, and technically Sinnoh (My Pokemon Ranch). Celebi appears in Johto, Orre, Fiore, and Almia, Deoxys appears in the Sevii Islands/Kanto, Hoenn, and Fiore (It's also hinted that Deoxys might also be native to Sinnoh as well, due to the Meteorites that change Deoxy's form.), Manaphy, well due to the fact that you first get it as an egg, it's somewhat obvious that there is more than one (It also appears in Fiore and Almia, and also is hinted at being native to Sinnoh), Phione, well, it's really no brainer. Darkrai appears in both Almia AND Sinnoh. lastly, Shaymin appears in Sinnoh, Almia, and Kanto (well, it's implied that it is native in Kanto, due to the mention of a white rock being there.). Weedle Mchairybug 11:51, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
I think you are taking this way to srsly there is no confirmation other than Darkrai cannot have a gender in the games thats how it stays hints aren't going to change that. --lord mada 16:12, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
No, the only confirmation in terms of Breeding for Darkrai is that it's in the No-Eggs group (Otherwise, it would have been listed among the likes of the Magnemite Family, the Voltorb family, the Staryu Family, etc, etc.), and even THAT is an fishy placement since, if they were incapable of reproducing, none of the above pokemon would even Have members of the same species in the other regions, main games or side-games/spinoffs alike. Weedle Mchairybug 15:33, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Not all Pokémon are born by breading as Gastly was born from poisonous gasses and Grimer was born from waste, although i agree that baby Lugia was born through breading but the one in the power of one was created from that current. In other words Pokémon don't have to be born through sex. --lord mada 22:27, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
according to the Pokédex entries, maybe, but if you plop a Grimer and/or a Gastly in a breeding center, and if they fall in love with each other, or if they fall in love with some other pokemon in the center, and Gastly/Grimer produces an egg, which evolves into either a Gastly or a Grimer (depending on which one is the female), I think it would be pretty obvious as to how they were procreated (If they were truly created by Poisonous gases/Toxic waste, why would they need to produce eggs, much less do it to create them?) Also, I don't recall the movie mentioning that it was actually CREATED by the current. I mean, sure, it might have been born in the current, but that doesn't mean that it was created by it. All it means is that it's mom was pregnant and gave birth to Lugia while in the current. Weedle Mchairybug 23:50, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

VA: Williams or Rogers?

Someone's not letting me credit Scott Williams, voice of Baxter on TMNT and credited in the movie, for voicing Darkrai. It sounds nothing like Bill Rogers! It sounds everything like Williams! Where was it confirmed that Rogers voiced Darkrai? First Dai, and now Darkrai. He didn't voice everybody, you know! Shift 21:27, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

imdb says otherwise --lord mada 22:08, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
If you could screen shot that bit of the credits as proof please --lord mada 22:11, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
IMDb's fan-updated too, you know... Here's your proof, dude: "credits_darkrai.jpg"

Bottom of the list: proves he was in it, didn't specify what role. Darkrai sounds the most like him from his roles as Baxter, so I logically concluded it was him. Now that I see it, Sean Rey probably voiced Dai and not Rogers or Williams. You accidently helped me out, man! Thanks! Shift 22:22, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

You probably just have a better ear for voices oh well I give in. --lord mada 23:16, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Something Wrong in the Trivia

Darkrai, along with Entei, Manaphy, and Meowth, is a non-Psychic-type with the ability to talk without telepathy.

So Darkrai wasn't using telepathy? How do you know? I didn't see any lip movements. The same goes for Entei. If it wasn't using telepathy than what was it using? As far as I know Meowth, Manaphy, and if you wanna count Chatot, are the only Pokémon that spoke without telepathy. --ケンジガール 03:29, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I vote on removing that piece of trivia. Manaphy and Meowth are the only non-Psychic-type to talk non-telepathically. Entei's lips never move, and as for Darkrai... he doesn't even have any lips! - spontaneousCombusken 03:44, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
I'd be best to remove it, in my opinion.~Pokemaniac102 03:49, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I think it should stay and we should add Chatot --lord mada 08:36, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

But it uses telepathy to talk. I don't even think it has a mouth. If you want to mention it, it would be better suited for Meowth and Manaphy's pages, not here.
its head kind of looks like it is sunk in to its body it could be hiding a mouth there --lord mada 08:54, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

You only ever see 25% of Darkrai's features at any given time, and you never see the bottom 50%, period. Wether or not he has a mouth, I don't think he's using telepathy. LordArceus 16:48, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

thunder wave

should thunder wave be added to the list of moves darkrai can use? The attack looks like blue lighting bolts, and whenever thunder wave is used in the show, it appears as a blue bolt. also, after it hit Lickilicky, the pokemon seemed to be a little stiff before unleashing its hyper beam.Darkcloud1111 01:18, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

That's Shock Wave.--☆Kevzo8 12:27, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Someone said darkrai could of used sand tomb in ash's dream, but it was a nightmare so it most likely wasnt an attack, just an effect of the nightmare so can it be considered as an attack?Darkcloud1111 08:34, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Ash experienced nightmare, so it's merely part of his nightmare.--☆Kevzo8 12:27, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Shadow sneak?

Several times in the movie, Darkrai uses what looks like Shadow Sneak. I think that should be noted.--Kasei 20:32, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

It's never stated to be Shadow Sneak though. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 21:29, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

In the games

IIRC, there was a special event at various Toys R' Us stores in English-speaking countries that gave away Darkrai with the moves Hypnosis, Nightmare, Roar of Time, and Spacial Rend, around the time of the movie; shouldn't it be included, because we did that for the shiny legendary beasts (I'd try adding it myself, though I kinda suck at using templates and all :p ).
