Hail

According to Pokefor, Blizzard's accuracy raises to 100% during Hail. Can anyone test and confirm this (both in-game and in link battles)? - Jshadias 22:15, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

I'll run tests this weekend and see what I come up with. evkl 01:57, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

MasamuneXGP confirmed it, nice find Meowth :d - Jshadias 10:57, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

100% accuracy or cannot miss? The same goes for Thunder in rain. I ask this because Bulbapedia has consistently kept to 100% when mentioning this, but frankly, I've never had Blizzard missing against a Brightpowdered, Double Teaming Froslass in Hail. --Jayc 08:30, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Uh... Sheer Cold

Uh yeah, this article says that the strongest Ice attack is Blizzard. Isn't that Sheer Cold? I mean, Sheer Cold is a OHKO if it connects to any pokémon.--Quick Man 12:49, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

I think that it's talking about the moes Power stat, which would in fact make Blizzard the strongest Ice-type attack. OHKO moves have nothing in their Power stat, since they only rely on hitting the target and the target's Ability (won't work if they have Sturdy). Diachronos 17:56, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Generation I Accuracy

It's not worth stating that its accuracy is "89.5%" rather than 90%. Move accuracy is stored as a byte in the game data, which necessarily causes some round-off error. Maybe if it were stored as a floating point number, but it's not. If we say 89.5% here, we should say it for all the other moves, and I think this affects later generations as well. And don't forget the issue with capping 100% accuracy moves in Generation I. It would be stupid to go around having all the 100% moves say, "This move had 99.6% accuracy in Generation I."  — Laoris (Blah) 20:43, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Trivia Question

The trivia states that Suicune is the only non-Ice-type Pokémon to learn Blizzard "naturally", but doesn't Rotom also technically learn Blizzard naturally, without the use of TMs or tutors? If so, that trivia needs to be changed. --RiverAura 01:48, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Rhyperior has STAB?

It's interesting to note that the pokemon in question has STAB,according to this page.Isn't this incorrect?PokemonRocks 17:46, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a mistake.--PhantomJunkie 17:49, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Does this apply to Platinum?

"In Diamond and Pearl, it also has a 30% chance of bypassing Protect and Detect, but not in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver or games made after that." Does this also apply to Platinum? It's not quite clear. Okoa 06:51, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

I just ran three consecutive tests in Platinum, and I've come to the conclusion that Blizzard cannot bypass Protect in hail. I'll remove the tag at the top of the page. :) Okoa 05:22, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Swanna, Blizzard, and BW081

Just pointing out that Swanna cannon learn Blizzard naturally, shouldn't this be noted in the anime section as an Anime Move Error? Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 13:55, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

When did Swanna use Blizzard? It looked like Ice Beam to me. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 14:00, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
I just saw it on the anime section and remembered that my sister had previously tried teaching her Swanna that move to no result. I actually don't know if Blizzard was used there, I'm just pointing out the error. Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 14:22, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
Oh I see it now, after looking over the filb screenshots. Yeah, sorry about that then, Dennou. Yeah, it's an error. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 15:28, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
