Should Anger Point with Lightning Rod?

It does raise a stat upon being hit with a certain type of move. Granted, that move happens to be critical hits instead of an elemental type. Is it near enough to be worth including? Dimenticare (talk) 20:42, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

I would disagree solely on the basis of Anger Point MAXIMIZING the Attack stat as opposed to just raising it by one level like all of Lightning Rod's variations. Combined with the fact that it applies to critical hits rather than an elemental type I think that's too different to be considered a variation. —AndyPKMN (talk) 23:42, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

I disagree with Adaptability...

I disagree with Adaptability being variations of those other abilities (as well as Technician & Sheer Force). I mean, the other listed abilities boost a specific list of moves, while Adaptability varies depending on the user, Technician works differently for varying moves like Weather Ball & Pursuit, and Sheer Force removes the secondary effects. I feel like they should be removed. What are your thoughts? Unowninator (talk) 22:06, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Until Gen 6, Magic Guard did EVERYTHING Overcoat did.

So why was Overcoat removed as a former variation? Unowninator (talk) 21:20, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Wording matters a lot... What you added said "it was considered a variation", which implies that, sometime in the past, someone had listed these things somewhere as all variant Abilities; and we certainly didn't (as far as I can tell; and no random other site really matters for our page).
I've re-added it like the move variations page does such notes. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:04, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Normalize should be added to Aerilate variations.

It is noted as a variation in its own page, it should be here as well. Trainer Yusuf (talk) 13:47, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

I took a look at the history of the Normalize page and since it seems the decision to include it as a variation was made by a staff member, Tiddlywinks, I went ahead and made the change here. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 14:05, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

Adaptability variations

There are some Abilities that are listed as Adaptability variations, but among these, only Mega Launcher, Strong Jaw, and Steelworker are listed in the respective template as variations (of Mega Launcher). I'm not sure if Adaptability variations should be separated from those of Mega Launcher on this page, or those of Adaptability should be included in the template for Mega Launcher. What do you all think? Kikugi (talk) 06:22, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
