Doubles the damage dealt to the target's replacement if the target switches out.
Generation VIII
Doubles the damage dealt to the target's replacement if the target switches out.
Generation IX
Doubles the damage dealt to a target that has just switched into battle.

Stakeout (Japanese: はりこみ Stakeout) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature Ability of Yungoos and Gumshoos.

Effect

In battle

Stakeout doubles the power of moves used against targets that have switched in this turn.

Outside of battle

Stakeout has no effect outside of battle.
