Walk across the land bridge, and you'll come face-to-face with the last great challenge of the game - the former League Champion, [[Red (game)|PKMN Trainer Red]].  He commands the highest-leveled team in the game, ranging from level 73 to level 81.  In order to take on his team, your Pokémon will need to be able to counter all of his team's types.  Even with a type advantage, your team will need to be level 75 at the very least in order to stand a chance.  With the right team, and a huge stock of potions, you should be able to defeat this legendary Trainer and finally become the ultimate Pokémon master!
* For his {{p|Pikachu}}, use a strong {{type2|Ground}} move like {{m|Earthquake}}.  {{t|Flying}}- and {{type2|Water}}s beware, {{m|Thunderbolt}} and {{m|Thunder}} will cause a world of pain!
* When facing his {{p|Espeon}}, the {{type2|Dark}} is the best type of offense.  Moves like {{m|Bite}} and {{m|Crunch}} will work best here.
* With {{p|Snorlax}} on the field, your best bet is a {{type2|Fighting}}.  A move like {{m|Cross Chop}} or {{m|Seismic Toss}} is ideal. <br> Be careful, since it knows {{m|Rest}} and {{m|Snore}} it can both heal itself and attack while asleep!
* Against {{p|Venusaur}}, the ideal attacks are of the {{t|Fire}}- and {{type2|Flying}}s.  Be aware that {{m|Sunny Day}} has a three-pronged effect:
:: => Single-turn {{m|SolarBeam}}
:: => {{m|Synthesis}} restores full health
:: => Strengthens {{p|Charizard}}'s attacks (when used before Charizard is KO'd)
* Fighting against {{p|Charizard}}, the ideal attacks are of the {{t|Water}}- and {{type2|Electric}}s.  Hit it with {{m|Surf}} or {{m|Thunderbolt}}, and it won't be around for too long.
* Against {{p|Blastoise}}, use a powerful {{t|Electric}}- or {{type2|Grass}} attack, like {{m|Thunderbolt}} or {{m|SolarBeam}}. <br> Be aware that it knows {{m|Blizzard}}, so {{type2|Grass}}s should be on their guard.

After defeating him, Red pauses for a second, then the screen blacks out.  When the "smoke clears", Red is gone. <br>
Now the credits roll, for the second time. <br><br><br>
Congratulations, you've finally defeated every possible opposing Trainer! <br> The only thing left to do (if you haven't done it yet) is to complete the Pokédex as much as possible.  {{game|Gold and Silver|s}} brought the total number of Pokémon up to 251, so get going!
