			:You almost completed the merge properly yourself. The only step you missed was bringing the old conversations back onto the page. In the event of a merge where the restored revisions were already back in the history, all one would have to do is click on the date and time of the revision while viewing the history, click "Edit this page" while still on that prior revision, copy what's there, return to the most recent revision, go into edit mode there, and paste the content.
