Now, I haven't read this entire series (I've read the Viz translations of volumes 2 and 4, and the first 3 chapters of volume 1 in Japanese), however I have seen ''nothing'' suggesting that Satoshi is gay. In fact, quite the opposite. Unlike his anime counterpart he actually shows ''blatant attraction to women''.
