The first round is simply a rematch with all the Colosseum Leaders, culminating in a battle with the Pokétopia Master Mysterial. After you win, the Colosseum hosts Master Battles, a series of sets of trainers all using highly advanced combos and techniques. Once one set of trainers is defeated, another set is unlocked for you to challenge. There are 8 sets of 4 trainers, increasing in difficulty as it goes on, with some trainers getting legnedary Pokémon. Any set unlocked set can be challenged at any time.
