:Well since Ritchie entered the indigo league the same time ash did at the age of 10 its obvious that was his first year at pokemon training, so the pokemon he has currently with him are charmander/zippo, pikachu/sparky, butterfree/happy, and 3 more and he caught them all somewhere in the kanto region. i belive this is what happened. Ritchie could be one of the unknown trianers from pallet who picked charmander. then he probably caught happy and sparky at the viridian forest. sparky couldn't have been caught at/has a slight chance of being caught at powerplant since ritchie also mentions in a Pokemon chronicle episode to his sparky of the time they had at mt.moon which u venture before power plant (to my opinion). its either that or some other speculation. :::Also not to mention but we do not know when Ritchie caught Zippo , he could have been one of the trainers from pallet who started with charmander and so it would be at most 222 episodes as a charmander , but we dont know that so it should be 143+ ..its not like he caught zippo at episode [[EP080]] right before he met ash so il fix that[[User:Ritchie|Ritchie]]
