Every once in a while, a [[Pokémon Beauty Contest]] is held there. In the anime, Ash, Brock and Misty met up with an old friend from which Brock got [[Brock's Vulpix|his Vulpix]], [[Suzy]], who wanted to enter the contest. Brock also wanted to enter and they decided to go as a couple with Brock's Vulpix. Another [[Pokémon Breeder]] and a friend of Suzy's, [[Zane]], also entered the contest with his {{p|Ninetales}}.
