The partner then reasons with Dark Matter that it's a part of everyone, and says they accept it. Dark Matter is then smashed, and the destruction of the world is stopped, and everyone turned back to normal. They return to Serene Village, and everyone is there except Nuzleaf, who couldn't bear to face the hero after everything he had done. The hero believes they are going to disappear and return to the human world now that the world has been saved. The next day, they meet up with the partner on the hill. The partner says that [[Xerneas (Super Mystery Dungeon)|Xerneas]] made them remember everything, and that they were actually Mew in their previous life. Nuzleaf and the Beheeyem, sincerely wishing to atone for their actions, agreed to help by kidnapping Mew and leading the hero to Purifying Cave.
