His Nidoking was not trapped but it abandoned Giovanni and ran away, making him believe that Pokémon are no different from beasts. Mr. Fuji arrives at the gym and the object wrapped in cloth is revealed to be Giovanni's Nidoking's broken horn. The truth is that Nidoking left to seek help from Mr. Fuji but was fatally injured and died soon after. However, Nidoking's journey was not in vain as he managed to get the help to save Giovanni from his injuries. | ||
