Pawmi (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Pawmi appears to be based on rodents, specifically the {{wp|alpine marmot}}, which was reintroduced in 1948 to the {{wp|Pyrenees}} mountain range at the border of Spain and France, after its disappearance in the region following the end of the {{wp|Pleistocene}} epoch. Pawmi may also be based on the {{wp|chinchilla}} or the closely related {{wp|viscacha}} — much like Pawmi, the latter has long ears and a rotund build with a reddish-brown coat. Pawmi's ability of discharging electricity from its paws may be inspired by {{wp|Defibrillation|defibrillator}}s.
