Pokédex entry recycling: Difference between revisions

* In {{pkmn|Sun and Moon|Pokémon Sun, Moon}}, {{pkmn|Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon|Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon}}, only the Pokémon and alternate forms available in the Alola Pokédex have Pokédex entries. The [[List of Pokémon by Alola Pokédex number (Sun and Moon)|original version]] of this [[regional Pokédex]] is available in Sun and Moon, and the [[List of Pokémon by Alola Pokédex number (Sun and Moon)|expanded version]] in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Several Pokémon outside the Alola Pokédex are obtainable with no Pokédex entries.

** The same Pokédex entry is shared by {{p|Buzzwole}}, {{p|Xurkitree}}, and {{p|Guzzlord}} in Ultra Sun, and by {{p|Pheromosa}}, {{p|Celesteela}}, and {{p|Kartana}} in Ultra Moon. All other available Pokémon and forms have different entries between each game.

* In {{LGPE}}, only the Pokémon in the [[List of Pokémon by Kanto Pokédex number|Kanto Pokédex]] (with the addition of {{p|Meltan}} and {{p|Melmetal}} in this generation) are available in-game and have Pokédex entries. The [[Mega Evolution]]s and [[Alolan form]]s of those Pokémon have separate entries as well.

** Most Pokémon have their entries reused from {{game|Yellow}}. In particular, {{p|Arcanine}}'s Pokédex entry was reused from Pokémon Yellow as well, except now saying that this Pokémon is legendary in the East (instead of legendary in China).

** There are new entries for {{p|Pikachu}}, {{p|Eevee}}, as well as the Pokémon and forms introduced after [[Generation I]].
