Themes can also change the sound effects of scrolling and button pressing while browsing the home menu, as well as adding background music. On the themes list, multiple themes can be added on shuffle, changing the theme every time the 3DS is turned on, off or put on sleep mode. More themes were purchasable on on the Theme Shop which is connected to the Nintendo eShop.
