Talk:Cresselia (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

In Cresselia's Hisuian Pokédex entry it states: "''Cresselia is reminiscent of the crescent moon. It leaves a brilliant line of light in its wake as it flies across the night sky. I daresay '''it resembles the heavenly maiden who created the Milky Way'''.''" I think that this reference to a "heavenly maiden who created the Milky Way" might be a nod to Cresselia's real-world origin. I have found 2 myths that fit the criteria of a maiden creating the Milky Way which I will link here: {{wp|Milky Way (mythology)#Khoisan|Khoisan Milky Way myth}} and {{wp|Milky Way (mythology)#Finno-Ugric|Finnish and Estonian Milky Way maiden myth}}. I think that there might be enough evidence of Cresselia being based on one of these myths to put it in the "Origin" section of this article.
